Breaking Silence: Protecting Children from Sexual Exploitation in India

Child sexual exploitation remains one of the most serious yet underreported violations of child rights. Fear, stigma, social pressure, and lack of awareness often force survivors into silence, while many cases remain unnoticed until significant harm has already occurred.

In response to this urgent reality, [Riddhi Siddhi Sanstha](https://www.riddhisiddhisanstha.org has been actively working across India to intervene in cases of child sexual abuse and strengthen child protection mechanisms at the grassroots level.

To date, the organization has supported intervention and response work in approximately 127 cases of child sexual exploitation and abuse. This includes immediate rescue coordination, liaison with police and Child Welfare Committees, legal assistance, emergency support for survivors, and structured follow-up for rehabilitation and care.

The approach goes beyond crisis response. A strong emphasis is placed on prevention through community awareness, school-based child safety sessions, parental engagement, and capacity-building programs that help identify risks early and reduce vulnerability.

Each intervention prioritizes the child’s safety, psychological recovery, and long-term reintegration into a stable environment. Counseling and rehabilitation support are provided to help survivors rebuild confidence and restore normalcy in their lives.

This work aligns with the vision of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030, particularly:
