Single Women Programme

Across the districts of Satara, Sangli and Solapur (Maanadesh belt), Riddhi Siddhi Sanstha works on the Single Women Programme, aiming to empower single women as confident and active participants in their communities.

Women Empowerment Programme

Who Does It Benefit?

Single women in rural and drought-affected areas of the Maanadesh belt—whether widowed, abandoned, separated, or never married—face multiple layers of social and economic challenges. They often experience exclusion from community life, limited access to education and livelihood opportunities, and lack of awareness about available government support systems.

In many cases, this leads to economic dependency, reduced mobility, and increased vulnerability in their daily lives. Through its intervention, Riddhi Siddhi Sanstha focuses on supporting these women to regain confidence, access available resources, and move towards a life of dignity, independence, and active participation in their communities.

Single Women Programme Approach

Riddhi Siddhi Sanstha works directly with single women through awareness, skill development training, and linkage with government schemes.

To promote social inclusion, various community activities such as Haldi-Kunku are conducted to ensure their equal participation and dignity. The organization also raises awareness against discriminatory practices and supports women’s participation in Gram Sabhas, where resolutions are taken to discourage and oppose practices like widow discrimination.
